E-Check stands for Electronic Check. A debit card transaction would be a good example of an E-Check entry. An E-Check can be used for any sort of payment in which the transaction occurs electronically. NTS uses a separate set of check numbers for E-Checks so there are no conflicts with your regular checks. Prior to NTS version 5.20, E-Checks were also referred to as EFT Checks.
